Take a class from "Camp Rock" star Jordan Francis
Have you ever wanted to take a class from a Disney star? Now's the chance! "Camp Rock" star Jordan Francis will be coming to Buffalo next weekend.
The 18 year-old will be holding his workshops at the Performing Arts Dance Academy, located at 206 Lake Street in Hamburg. The first workshop is an interviewing workshop. "In the workshop, which runs from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m., participants will research Francis, develop questions, and pose those questions to the young star. There will also be an opportunity for the students to work with O’Shei on the morning of Sunday, February 7 to write stories on Francis, some of which will be published on LiveStarringYou.com."

Heather Morris brings "Glee" to Buffalo
People at the Performing Arts Academy had a very gleeful night last night. Why you may ask? The dancers in attendance had the chance to take a hip hop class with Glee cast member Heather Morris. On Glee, Morris plays Brittany, a cheerleader in a high school glee club.
About 40 dancers showed up, including me and my two cousins. Her class was two hours in length. Morris began the class having the dancers form a circle and one by one say their name and something about themselves. In my opinion, this helped all of us get a little more comfortable around each other and it was a fun way to begin the class. I must admit, the fact I shared wasn't that I'm a dancer or anything along those lines, it was that "I'm a Gleek!"

Heather Morris of "Glee" master classes
Heather Morris, or better known as "Brittany" the blonde cheerleader on Glee, is holding three workshops here in Buffalo at the Performing Arts Academy. Morris auditioned for So You Think You Can Dance but didn't make the top 20. Everything happens for a reason, and that cut brought her to be a backup dancer for Beyonce's 2007 International Tour. She has had a few small acting gigs prior to Glee, but you have probably seen her perform in Beyonce's promotional tour for her hit single "Single Ladies."

The worlds of film and dance collide with ‘Studio B Dance & Fitness Supplies Store’

The Performing Arts Dance Academy located at 206 Lake St. in the Village of Hamburg has recently opened a store right next door to the academy. Studio B Dance And Fitness Supplies opened 12 days before Christmas and has been experiencing a substantial amount of success. The building located right next to the dance academy has the resemblance of Hollywood.
“My idea was to have it be like a movie theater,” said Studio B Dance and Fitness Supplies and Academy owner Suzanne Mall. “I’ve loved theater since i was a little kid, especially Shea’s Theatre so I tried to decorate it after Sheas.” The supplies center features dance, gymnastic, skating and ladies fitness wear in various sizes which includes plus sizes.
The store has generated a following which includes following which includes customers from as far away as Toronto. Many have deemed the store as one of the Southtowns best kept secrets.
Mall was a dancer with the Buffalo City Ballet. She is a member of the Hamburg Chamber of Commerce, the Village Business Advisory Council, National Association of Professional Women and she is an A Plus Member of the Better Business Bureau.
