All students are required to wear proper dancewear to class. Hair should be pulled off the face and neck in all classes.
Dress Code
Combo (Ages 3-5)
Tap/Ballet: Girls wear light pink leotards and tights, pink ballet shoes, and white tap shoes. Dance skirts in any color can be worn. Jazz/Hip Hop: Solid colored leotards, tan or black tights, dance shorts and black split sole jazz shoes.
Tap and Jazz
Solid colored leotards, nude or black tights, and dance shorts. Black split sole jazz shoes or black buckle Mary Jane tap shoes are appropriate for six- to nine-year-old classes. Students 10 and up must wear black split sole tie tap shoes.
Pointe
Solid color leotard and pink tights preferred. Warm-ups are advised for barre work, dance skirts for center floor work. Instructor will recommend shoes.
Ballet
Beginner to Advanced Beginner
All ballet students must wear black leotards and pink tights. Warm-ups are allowed in cold weather only, and dance skirts are allowed for center floor. Pink split sole leather ballet slippers are required.
Ballet
Intermediate to Advanced
Any solid color leotard and pink tights preferred. Warm-ups are advised for barre work, dance skirts for center floor work. Split sole pink ballet shoes are required.
Ballet Technique
Class uniform and pink tights must be worn without exception.
Musical Theater
Leotard or tight tank top with dance shorts or dance pants only. Black jazz shoes required.
Hip-Hop
Students should wear loose/baggy sweats and t-shirts, and clean/dry sneakers. No shorts or jeans allowed.
Contemporary
Leotard, dance shorts, footless tights or jazz pants with no tights are allowed. Bare feet. No jeans allowed.
Acro
Students should wear tight-fitted athletic wear and can wear either socks or jazz shoes.
Lyrical
Tan colored leather Pirouette II shoe available in the Studio B store. Clothing is the same as for a jazz class.
Theatre Dance
Dress the same as Jazz. T-Strap Tan Character shoes are required.
Character
Students must wear black, midcalf length, full circle skirts. Black leotards, pink tights & black single strap character shoes with 1″ heel are required.
Boys of All Ages
White crew neck t-shirts and black sweatpants. Combo students wear black tap and black jazz/black ballet shoes. All other dance styles follow the same shoe listed above in black.
